The educational program «Psychology» is developed by the working group for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in accordance with the higher education standard for the specialty 053 «Psychology», approved by Order No. 565 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, dated April 24, 2019.
The goal of the educational program is to equip higher education students with general and professional competencies in the specialty 053 Psychology. The program focuses on solving complex tasks in professional, research, and innovative activities within the field of psychology and related mental health professions. It aims to provide a scientific understanding of the nature of the psyche, the features of psychological development, personality formation, and the functioning of individuals with mental health disorders. Students are expected to develop the ability to apply advanced scientific and applied psychological knowledge and skills in their professional activities. They will master theoretical and practical skills in psychodiagnostics, counseling, and psychological intervention methods of varying intensity levels to work with diverse population groups.
The educational program emphasizes the study of scientific, applied, and practical psychology courses related to research-experimental, psychological counseling, psychotherapeutic, educational, and psychoprophylactic activities. It is conducted within an active research environment to train multidisciplinary psychology specialists capable of working in interdisciplinary settings, exploring, and analyzing issues of normal and pathological psychological development, psychological processes, patterns, factors, and mechanisms of mental activity disorders.
