About the department:
The department provides teaching of general education disciplines at a high educational and methodological level.
The educational process is provided by highly qualified teachers who not only have in-depth knowledge of their subject, but also have teaching methods, use active forms of learning, and pay great attention to individual work with students.
One of the important tasks of the department is to use information technology in the learning process. In the educational process, the department’s staff combines traditional forms of academic teaching with the introduction of innovative technologies and techniques.
The activities of the staff of the Department of General Education are subordinated to the task of forming a communicatively developed and responsible, intellectually and spiritually rich, creatively active student personality, able to adapt to the conditions of the university, gain knowledge of general education disciplines and obtain a high level of competence in them.
The level of training provided by the department’s staff creates all the prerequisites for maintaining the student’s motivational and orientation sphere during study and mastering special subjects.
Head of the Department of General Education Disciplines
The Head of the Department ensures the organization of the educational process, adherence to academic plans and programs, and supervises the quality of teaching, academic, methodological, and research activities of the faculty in the Department of General Education Disciplines through:
- Planning, organizing, and monitoring the educational, instructional-methodological, scientific-methodological, scientific, and research activities of the department across all forms of education.
- Supervising the quality of all types of classes conducted by the department’s faculty, all forms of final assessment, and the development of course syllabi for the disciplines assigned to the department.
- Monitoring the quality and quantity of methodological resources for the courses taught in the department. Timely organization of work to ensure that courses assigned to the department are provided with the necessary instructional materials.
- Leading the preparation of textbooks, educational manuals, lecture notes, methodological guidelines, and other instructional materials for the courses assigned to the department.
- Analyzing and discussing results of current control measures, examination sessions, thesis defenses, and state exams during department meetings. Based on these analyses, developing and implementing necessary measures to improve the organization of the educational process and enhance the quality of specialist training.
- Organizing and managing research work in the department’s profile, engaging students, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates in research activities, and facilitating their participation in conferences. Additionally, studying and implementing best practices of the department’s academic staff and providing them with academic and methodological support.
- Integrating research findings into practice, ensuring that the results of scientific research are applied effectively.
