Our Mission
Humanity is living in a time when life changes are increasing at an unprecedented rate.
Russia’s war against Ukraine has created a field of extraordinary stress on our society and changed the nature of intergenerational, family, friendship and other ties. At the same time, people have become, on the one hand, freer than in previous rather slower cultures, and, on the other hand, more isolated and lonely. Our attitude to the world has also changed – we seem to understand it less.
The university’s mission is to make a significant contribution to the mental health of the Ukrainian nation by conducting research, generating and disseminating new ideas and knowledge, and most importantly, by training a new generation of specialists in psychology, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.
The main goal of the university’s development is to train specialists in accordance with European standards, in which we rely on the experience of our key partner, the Vienna SFU.
Our students will undergo internships and develop practical skills in working with clients, both within the framework of Ukraine Sigmund Freud University and at an internship in Vienna, which will allow them to have the necessary experience for work after graduation.
We understand that the mental health of the Ukrainian nation is a reliable foundation for a strong state. The training of worthy psychology specialists at the Ukraine Sigmund Freud University is a significant contribution to the reconstruction of Ukraine.
