How to write and publish psychological research in the journal Q1 – a professional course from the USFU

Ukraine Sigmund Freud University invites you to a professional development course for psychologists-scientists.

The advanced training course “Scientific article in psychology in the journal Q1: how to conduct, describe and publish research” is aimed at research psychologists, as well as those who plan to become them and publish their works in the most prestigious scientific journals.

Psychological research must meet the classical requirements: validity, reliability, representativeness, and researchers must adhere to the modern values of open science, use the best methodological solutions to ensure that the results are sufficiently credible.

The course from Ukraine Sigmund Freud University will deepen the vision of scientific research in psychology and provide relevant tools for methodological research. Students of the course will gain skills in working with a range of research designs: from theoretical to empirical, from qualitative to quantitative.

Upon completion of the training, students will receive:

  • A certificate for 2 ECTS credits (60 hours of classroom work and 20 hours of independent work) if you attend all lectures and pass the final test with at least 60 points;
  • A certificate for 3 ECTS credits (40 hours of classroom work and 50 hours of independent work), provided that you attend all lectures, pass the final test with at least 60 points and submit a draft version of a research paper based on one of the proposed methodologies.

The training will be conducted by experienced researchers, authors of scientific papers on psychology and a number of publications in modern authoritative publications:

Dr. Oleksandr Vinogradov is a PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, psychologist-psychodiagnostician, researcher of social and personality psychology, psychometrician, member of the Board of the Ukrainian Psychometric Society, author and co-author of articles in Scopus | WoS journals, including Q1. He studied data analysis at the University of Munich (Germany), Umea University (Sweden), and the University of Illinois (USA).

Dr. Mariana Velykodna is a PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, EuroPsy certified psychologist, certified psychoanalytic therapist, Associate Professor of the Ukraine Sigmund Freud University, author and co-author of articles in Scopus | WoS journals, including Q1.

Dr. Yegor Butsykin – PhD in Philosophy, Master of Psychology, specialist in qualitative research, in particular, phenomenological research, Associate Professor of the Department of General Education at Ukraine Sigmund Freud University, author and co-author of articles in Scopus | WoS journals.

Prof. Olena Savchenko – Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Psychologist, Head of the Ukrainian Psychometric Society, specialist in the creation and adaptation of psychological questionnaires and tests, Professor of the Department of Psychology at Ukraine Sigmund Freud University, author and co-author of articles in the journals of the Scopus | WoS databases.
