Professional development program «CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY»

According to the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 1782 dated 30.09.2022, the position of clinical psychologist in psychological, rehabilitation, and crisis centers can now be held by specialists who not only have a master’s degree in psychology, but also have completed specialized training in «Clinical Psychology» by January 1, 2026.


The professional development program «CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY» is aimed at expanding the professional competencies of psychologists in the areas of clinical and psychodynamic psychodiagnostics, pathopsychology, neuropsychology, modern methods of working with trauma, and the development of resilience in professionals.

The program includes the following educational components:

• Psychiatric propedeutics;

• Psychopharmacology;

• Psychopathology/pathopsychology;

• Clinical phenomenology of neurotic disorders;

• Basics of understanding modern psychiatric disease classifiers (DSM V, ICD 11);

• Clinical psychodiagnostics;

• Neuropsychological diagnostics and correction;

• Psychodynamic psychodiagnostics;

• Modern approaches to working with trauma;

• Psychology of stress: resilience and endurance;

• Past trauma and identity;

• Ethical and legal norms for the work of clinical psychologists;

• Supervisory support;

• Practical training.

Upon completion of the program

The professional development program «CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY» was developed by an international team of renowned scientists and practicing psychologists and psychotherapists (Ukraine, Austria, USA).

Lectures will be delivered by practicing psychotherapists and SFU faculty members: Max Pritz, Yannick Neuhaus, Andriy Bondarchuk, Ivan Klymenko, Helena Lazos, Oksana Shlyonska, Tetyana Shvydchenko, Nicholas Jayni, Sam (Samvel) Aganov, Natalia Melnyk.

A simultaneous translator will also be working with us.


Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate and professional development certificate from Ukraine Sigmund Freud University.

The total volume of the educational program is 33 ECTS.
